Custom implant restoration designed around a challenging implant trajectory.
This All-on-4 restoration features individually fabricated zirconia crowns supported by a custom anodized titanium bar. The implant in the #7–8 region presented an unfavorable trajectory that prevented acceptable screw-access positioning.
To provide the doctor direct access to the prosthetic screw during delivery, crowns #7 and #8 were intentionally left off. After the titanium bar was seated and torqued, the two zirconia crowns were cemented into position using temporary cement.
